Mission Statement
To ensure that children throughout the Bassetlaw and Mansfield District are given cricket opportunities to allow them to reach the level of cricket they aspire to and their ability allows.
To ensure that there is a structured club frame work that is integrated with any regional development group and the county development plan.
To ensure all cricket development activities are planned, resourced and delivered through Cuckney Cricket Club committee.
To advance the game of cricket in Cuckney and surrounding areas, through sportsmanship, leadership, discipline and hard work.
Cuckney Cricket Club not only exists to offer talented cricketers the opportunity to improve their skills and play top quality cricket. Fundamental to this is the need to provide all aspiring cricketers, whatever their background, the chance to fulfil their true potential. We shall aim to provide the very best facilities, personnel and resources for players, support staff and members as is affordable.
Notwithstanding is the need for all members to increase pride, mutual respect and positivity in all things associated with the club and its future direction. To provide competitive and recreational cricket within the local community for both sexes from ages 8 and upwards for all abilities.
Aims & Objectives
We aim to increase the number of key volunteers at CCC to support the development of cricket for young people within the Bassetlaw and Mansfield district.
Advertise and work in partnership with local primary link teachers, schools sports co-coordinators, Nottinghamshire Cricket Development Manager, to create and sustain a robust working coaching programme to encourage new junior players within Cuckney CC.
Ensure there are junior boys sections playing league cricket at U10, U11, U13, U15 & U17 level.
We aim to develop and educate coaches and volunteers to provide the highest level of junior development.
Make the prospect of playing and developing cricketing abilities at Cuckney appealing against competition from other sports.
Offer the Nottinghamshire Cricket Board ground use for junior district cricket, kwik cricket festivals and representative matches to encourage youngsters from our area into the game.
Provide a structured opportunity for the development of girls cricket within Cuckney CC.
In school coaching sessions, target groups which only include girls.
Invite those girls to join our junior training sessions.
Enter a girls team in a Northern Cricket League to start our girls section off.
Ensure there are opportunities for girls to play junior quick cricket at U11 and U13 by 2015.
Ensure there are opportunities for girls to play junior hard ball cricket at U13 and U15 by 2015.
We aim to integrate girls into senior sides as a method of improving standards.
Encourage disability cricket to be played at Cuckney both on the main pitches and in the indoor centre where league cricket for the disabled can be catered for.
To ensure Cuckney CC supports Nottinghamshire Cricket Boards Disability teams so they have access to play representative games at Cuckney CC and make available our purpose built indoor cricket centre that is designed to cater for people with disabilities.
To ensure that special needs provision within the club is fully publicised through the local community.
Continue our relationship with local special needs schools to offer coaching to leaders and carers.
To ensure that there are no barriers to the inclusion of any potential member from all known ethnic groups.
Positively encourage application for coaching development from all ethnic groups within the community.
To operate a positive selection policy for all.
To encourage contact with local ethnic groups / associations to promote the playing and participation within the club.
To provide all year round coaching and playing opportunities for all.
To provide specific skills coaching to all local schools /clubs.
To maintain a strict child protection policy and increase the number of child welfare officers by 2015.
To facilitate the transition of school to club opportunities for all ages.
To operate an open ground policy for all spectators and interested parties within the local community.
Prioritise maintaining “Clubmark” status as and when this is achieved.
Continue to offer senior league cricket at 1st XI, 2nd XI, 3rd XI levels on Saturday afternoons and to introduce a 4th XI. Continue to offer senior league cricket at 1st and 2nd XI levels on a Sunday and maintain the clubs position in The Nottinghamshire Premier Cricket League by 2015.
To have and increase the number and quality of cricket coaches within Cuckney CC and have 10 active Level I coaches, 5 level II coaches and 2 level III coach by 2015 all providing positive role models to all club members.
To continue to enter national Knockout competitions such as the Cockspur cup of which we were the finalists in 2009.
To attract quality players to our club through the club ethos to strengthen both playing abilities and to provide the correct cricket role to all juniors and seniors a like.
Encourage and develop new teams to participate in the Cuckney CC indoor cricket league, currently the only one in North Nottinghamshire.

Selection Committee
- To adhere to club policy in team selection
- Resolve any behavioral issues on the field of play and report to the Committee

Club Development Officer

Cricket Centre Manager
- To manage ground issues and timetables
- To organize nets for seniors and juniors
- To organize the running of the only Indoor cricket league in North Notts
- To organize catering for all teams
- To liaise with grounds man
- Promote the indoor training centre
Cricket Secretary - Youth Cricket Manager
- Attend committee meetings
- Ensure all children are correctly registered (ie., health issues, parents signatures etc)
- Collects training money
- Co-ordinates youth selection, coaching, welfare and nets summer/winter
- Liaise with team managers, parents and players
Cricket Secretary - Team Managers U11’s, U13’s, U15’s and 17’s
- Attend meetings
- Confirm and arrange fixtures
- Confirm and arrange scorers, umpires and liaise with coaches on selection
- Notify players

Coaches U11’s, U13’s, U15’s and U17’s

Membership Secretary
- Attend meetings
- Ensure all senior players are registered with the club and the league
- Liaise with junior registration secretary
- Ensure all players have paid subscriptions (ie., arrange yearly meeting for players to pay fees, and follow up)
Club Secretary
- Attend meetings
- Goal is to bring in general sponsorship and work with Treasurer
- Chase up new and existing sponsors
- Delegate roles to senior teams to arrange match ball sponsors
- Keep paper work up to date
- Liaise with Treasurer on Government grants etc..
- Keep club database up to date
Club Welfare Officer
- Attend all Committee meetings
- Reports all welfare issues to the main committee
- Keep up to date with qualifications
Club Mark Officer
- Attend meetings
- Ensure all files are up to date and report to General Secretary on a weekly basis until Clubmark status achieved.
Fixture Secretary
- Ensures club website and all key information is kept up to date
- Ensures all important club messages are received
- Ensures fixture cards are processed and sent and to Vice Presidents
Social Secretary
- Organizes functions within the Club House and sports hall function suite.
- Reports to the general committee
Chairman
- Makes sure the Club runs as smooth as possible at all times
