Cuckney lost the toss but were put in to bat on a good dry wicket and got off to a great start with Andy Trenam 23 and Dave Goff 32 putting on 54 in quick time. Both fell to good catches. Jason Lucas 32 and Liam Somers 78 continued with good batting with a partnership of 61. Liam hitting 15 fours in his 78. Richard Bostock hit a quick 30 not out to take the score up to 231 for 7.

Richard Bostock bowled an opening batsman in the first over with a great delivery after which Rose Leisure never managed to keep up with run rate and lost wickets regularly. Bostock bowled well bowling taking 3 for 27 in 10 overs with Oliver Wilson as opening bowlers. Will Stuart 2 for 15 in 5 overs took two important wickets and Dan O'Kane was the most successful of the bowlers taking 4 for 32 in 8.4 overs
